During the WWII, these type of helmets were part of the standard outfit of the German Luftwaffe pilots. They were worn by the flying personnel, fighter pilots and bomber flyers. The helmet is made of qualitative brown natural leather with cover inside. It has metal buttons, which are no marked.

These Luftwaffe helmets were manufactured on the Eastern Front in the occupied Czechoslovakia. The Czechs as the first occupied country, were the first to be drafted for forced labor for production of military equipment, outfit and weapons in Czechoslovakia for the Germans, as and some conscripts were sent to Germany for work there. The helmet is in good preserved authentically condition for its age. It hasn't been cleaned, it is in the condition in which it was found!
