VTG 50's US Air Force Named Selby Shoe Co. P-1B P-3 PILOT FLIGHT HELMET w/ Bag. PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR BUSINESS IS ANTIQUES AND VINTAGE COLLECTIBLES. I had a helpful collector send me his information. His first Air Force assignment was as an RF-80 pilot with the 12th Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, then the 27th Fighter Squadron of the 1st Fighter Wing; both units located at March Air Force Base, Calif. During 1949 and 1950 he was a member of the 1st Fighter Wing's F-86 aerobatic team, the Sabre Dancers. Helmet is a fiberglass class P-3 flight helmet made by SELBY SHOE CO. Helmet comes with tinted visor in good condition.
Helmet comes with all original electronics Mouth piece plug , Earphones and still has chin strap. Helmet is in good USED condition.
Helmet has no cracks, breaks or chips. Helmet Liner is in good used condition.
Slight foam dryness and flaking you can see in photos. Helmet bag is in good used condition.
Bag is made by MARMAC INDUSTRIES INC. Bag is not ripped or repaired but does have a stain. Helmet I believe is a size Small. The only thing we guarantee is that these types of items will arrive in the same aesthetic condition as you see in the photos. All international buyers must have a confirmed, translated to English, address. It's just not very economical for us, in the end.There is no exception including in the event of a return. Color variations can occur dependent upon viewer's screen.
