Vintage WW1 Leather US Air Service Pilots Flight Helmet GREAT HELMET

Great looking original WWI flight helmet. I have seen different variations of WWI flight helmets and they are all over the map with pricing. This particular variation is listed on one of the largest militaria dealers web sites for over 2 GRAND!!

And that is the only one like it I can find, but this one is not without a couple flaws. The difference between it and the one I spoke of is the makers mark stamping is long gone from wear and tar. And as you can see the chin strap was replaced at one point. The overall condition of the cap leather other than that is nice and the leather is still soft.
