It hasn't been treated. Obviously signs of wear because it's 75 years old. This is an original Scully Brothers leather aviator helmet, dating from the late 1940s to early 1950s.
Scully Brothers was one of the well-known makers of aviation and motorcycle leather gear during the post-WWII era, and their early pieces are highly collectible. Soft, thick genuine leather shell. Ear flap openings with grommets. Classic mid-century construction and paneling. Medium size (fits average adult head). It has the beautiful natural patina you expect from an authentic 70+-year-old leather item. No major cracks or separation, just honest wear. Lining is intact and comfortable. WWII / mid-century flight gear displays. Man cave or hangar décor. Photo props / film & theater wardrobe. These Scully Brothers helmets don't appear often, especially in complete condition with shearling intact. A fantastic early aviation relic. Please review all photos for condition.
