Thank you for taking the time to review the listing. This set came with an estate sale of a gentleman who collected antique and vintage aviation materials, and memorabilia. Both items are in need of a proper cleaning by somebody who has the correct products and knowledge. I did not want to damage them so I have not done anything to them. There is a smell of mold/mildew due to storage conditions through the years. I would say the condition of the helmet is in good used condition.
