USAF Vietnam Krieg Fliegerhelm HGU-2A/P Named Pilot Flight Helmet Pilotenhelm
"Punch" Jamison's name is under earphone and under visor cover. I bought this helmet from the USA some years ago without oxygen mask. I have later updated this helmet with correct dated USAF SHORT-NARROW (68/69/70) dated MBU-5/P mask. There is number "6" on port side of the shell. Unfortunately I don't know his Vietnam era squadron, but I know that later he served in Europe (1971) with 36th TFW. Air University Review, March-April 1969. Can the Air Staff Handle It? George Washington University is in F-4D combat crew training, 479th Tactical Fighter Wing (TAC), George AFB, California. He completed flying training in 1950, served as instructor, attended USAF Instrument School, and was a flight commander (F-86Ds), 331st Fighter-Interceptor Squadron (ADC), Suffolk County AFB, New York, until 1955. Other assignments have been as fighter and standardization officer, 316th Air Division (Defense), Rabat, Morocco; as fighter officer, operational Evaluation Team, Hq NORAD, Colorado; with the 94th FIS, Selfridge AFB, Michigan; as plans officer, DCS/P&O, Hq USAF; and Assistant Executive to the Chief of Staff, USAF, to 1967. Colonel Jamison is a 1968 graduate of the National War College and has been selected for promotion.
