Us Navy/usmc Chas. Fischer Mkii Pilot Flying Goggles

This is an original early World War II issue U. Marine Corps MKII Pilot Flying Goggle manufactured by the Chas. Fischer Spring Company, one of the principal wartime producers of this distinctive model. The metal frames are clearly marked "MKII PILOT" and bear the desirable Chas. Fischer maker's marking, confirming their wartime military manufacture. Fitted with original American Optical marked amber glass lenses, these goggles retain the authentic appearance expected of an early-war naval aviation set. The amber lenses were designed to reduce glare while enhancing contrast, making them especially useful for pilots operating in varying light conditions.

The goggles also retain their original elastic head strap, an increasingly difficult component to find with surviving examples. The khaki face cushion is a professionally made modern replacement, carefully installed using the original brass sewn retaining ring.
